After his successful 1999 debut album "Black the Sun" reached No. 9 in Australia, Lloyd's second album went to incredible heights of success not just in Australia, but also in New Zealand. The album began to soar in popularity when the second single of the album "Amazing" was released, and proved to be Lloyd's first successful single, eventually being used on Ford commercials. The album itself meanwhile went double platinum in sales, stayed in the top fifty for 41 weeks. The album also reached No. 22 in New Zealand and was in the top 50 for 8 weeks.
Daniel Werner from CMJ called the album "one of Australia's biggest homegrown albums of 2002" and "a serious contender for record of the year".
